On March 3, 18 Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agencies from across the nation attended the JD-VRTAC Targeted Technical Assistance Forum, Developing a Business Relations Structure: Lessons Learned from VR Trailblazers, in San Antonio, TX. The University of Arkansas, CURRENTS and the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) organized this forum as part of the Job-Driven VR Technical Assistance Center.
The Job-Driven Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center (JD-VRTAC) has selected 8 state vocational rehabilitation agencies (SVRAs) to receive intensive technical assistance (TA) on 4 JD-VRTAC topic areas: business engagement, employer supports, customized training, and labor market information.
Effective Use of Labor Market Information (LMI) Within VR
The Job-Driven VR Technical Assistance Center (JDVRTAC) is collaborating with the San Diego State Workforce Innovation Technical Assistance Center (WINTAC) to create a virtual Community of Practice (CoP) on effective use of LMI in VR. The CoP will focus on seven key areas for discussion:

Using the Separate Rehabilitation Agency Service Model
The purpose of this analysis is to explore and illustrate data related to closure of VR cases among transition age youth. Specifically, I wanted to visualize the case closure rates among transition age youth (14-24) served in states where a separate agency serves blind individuals and another serves all other individuals with disabilities.
